John Moores 2023 is a commercial exhibition, National Museums Liverpool is not able to insure the works of art and therefore paintings are displayed at the artists’ or owners’ risk. National Museums Liverpool will not be liable for any damage or deterioration that occurs to any painting whilst on display.
All paintings will be soft wrapped for collection. Buyers of paintings that require more specialist handling will be informed of this at the point of purchase.
All paintings must remain on display for the full duration of the John Moores Painting Prize exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery.
Buyers are responsible for collection and transportation of paintings on a designated date at the end of the exhibition. National Museums Liverpool bears no responsibility for the delivery of paintings directly to buyers.
Paintings that remain uncollected after the designated collection dates will incur a storage charge of £5 per week.
List prices of paintings are non-negotiable. Sales of paintings exhibited in the John Moores Painting Prize exhibition will be managed by NML Trading Ltd for the duration of the exhibition.
National Museums Liverpool reserves the right to purchase the first prize winner. Any money paid on this painting before the first prize winner announcement will be refunded.
NML Trading Ltd are selling the John Moores paintings on behalf of the individual artists therefore National Museums Liverpool discounts do not apply.

Deliveries
We aim to dispatch orders between 1-3 working days, however, as some items are stored at individual venues some orders may take longer. Orders are currently being dispatched between Monday and Friday. If you have any queries, please e-mail onlinesales@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk
Standard UK delivery is by Royal Mail and costs £3.50 but may be more for heavier parcels. Most items take between 1 and 5 working days to be delivered.
John Moores Painting Prize prints are dispatched direct from the printers, if you order prints with other shop items then your order will arrive in multiple deliveries. Please allow 7 days for dispatch of prints.
We use Royal Mail's airmail service to post overseas. This can take from 1 to 4 weeks and costs from £10.00 in Europe and from £15.00 for the rest of the world. As with UK delivery, this will be more for heavier parcels. Please be aware there may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK. National Museums Liverpool are not responsible for paying these charges and they are not included in your payment to us.

Returns
If you are not totally satisfied with your order, please return it to us. Goods must be returned in the same condition you received them within 45 days of receiving the order. We will issue a refund or replacement at your request subject to certain conditions being met.
