Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) practiced as a painter, sculptor, architect, engineer, costume designer, anatomist, botanist, map-maker and much more. The activity that unified these interests was drawing. Leonardo drew to develop his artistic and engineering projects, to record his perceptions of the world around him, to explore his own imagination and to think.

Martin Clayton is Head of Prints and Drawing, Royal Collection Trust. He has published widely on the Italian drawings in the Royal Collection, with titles including Castiglione: Lost Genius, Canaletto in Venice, and Raphael and His Circle. His many works on Leonardo include Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist, The Mechanics of Man and The Divine and the Grotesque.

Deliveries

We aim to dispatch orders between 1-3 working days, however, as some items are stored at individual venues some orders may take longer. Orders are currently being dispatched between Monday and Friday. If you have any queries, please e-mail onlinesales@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk

Standard UK delivery is by Royal Mail and costs £3.50 but may be more for heavier parcels. Most items take between 1 and 5 working days to be delivered.

We use Royal Mail's airmail service to post overseas. This can take from 1 to 4 weeks and costs from £10.00 in Europe and from £15.00 for the rest of the world. As with UK delivery, this will be more for heavier parcels. Please be aware there may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK. National Museums Liverpool are not responsible for paying these charges and they are not included in your payment to us.

If you would like to order a large number of items, it may be worth contacting us directly to enquire about shipping costs.

 

Returns

If you are not totally satisfied with your order, please return it to us. Goods must be returned in the same condition you received them within 45 days of receiving the order. We will issue a refund or replacement at your request subject to certain conditions being met.
