A decorative pot stand with a pineapple detail from a tile design by William De Morgan. The pot stand is resistant to normal household stains and can withstand temperatures up to 145 degrees.
William De Morgan (1839-1917) was the foremost ceramic designer of the Arts and Crafts period. His greatest artistic legacy is his rediscovery of the lost art of lustre decoration and the revival of the vivid turquoise and green hues and intricate patterns of Islamic pottery. The De Morgan foundation owns a large collection of his finest works.
