The streets, buildings, stories and people of our city make it a fascinating place to live, work, and sketch. As we draw Liverpool, we celebrate its unique mercantile and maritime cityscape-without overlooking its challenges or ignoring its sometimes troubled past.
The city has over 2,500 listed structures, a greater number of public sculptures than anywhere in the UK aside form Westminster, two cathedrals, more Georgian houses than Bath, and landmark buildings by major architects in a wide variety of styles, from Regency to Greek Revival, from Italianate to Beaux Arts, and from Gothic to Art Deco.
Liverpool's historic docks feature the pioneering work of engineers, while international maritime commerce-including trade in sugar, tobacco, cotton, and, it must be said, slaves-brought major businesses to the city in the Victorian and Edwardian periods.
The city's topography, with its ground rising gently away from the long waterfront and the broad estuary, lends a unique quality of light. And everywhere in the city, among and between its buildings, there might be a view of green space, an elegant terrace, a reflection in water, a curious memorial in a back alley or courtyard, or a Liver Bird in a carved relief.

Deliveries

UK delivery is with Royal Mail tracked 48 and costs £3.50 but may be more for heavier parcels. Most items take between 2 and 5 working days to be delivered.
We use Royal Mail's airmail service to post overseas. This can take from 1 to 4 weeks and costs from £13.00 in Europe and from £24.00 for the rest of the world. As with UK delivery, this will be more for heavier parcels. Please be aware there may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK. National Museums Liverpool are not responsible for paying these charges and they are not included in your payment to us. We will send your parcel with tracking where possible.
If you would like to order a large number of items, it may be worth contacting us directly to enquire about shipping costs.
Returns
If you are not totally satisfied with your order, please return it to us. Goods must be returned in the same condition you received them within 45 days of receiving the order. We will issue a refund or replacement at your request subject to certain conditions being met.
