A ceramic replica of the iconic statue Super Lambanana. The ceramic Super Lambanana is available in 3 colours: the original yellow which represents the art work, red, and a white version which is popular in the winter.
The Super Lambanana is an original work of art by Japanese based artist Taro Chiezo and was created in 1998. The artwork was designed to warn of the dangers of genetically modified food while also reflecting Liverpool’s history as a port city, trading in commodities such as Lancashire wool and Fyffes bananas.
The Statue currently stands outside Liverpool John Moores University on Tithebarn Street.
