Description
A celebration of the life and work of designer, activist and provocateur Vivienne Westwood.
Lauded for her boundless contributions to fashion and popular culture. Dame Vivienne Westwood spent mote than five decades breaking the rules and pushing the envelope of the fashion world. Renowned for her rebellious spirit and avant-grande designs, Westwood lived a life dedicated to a free artistic expression - a life that continues to redefine fashion and inspire generations worldwide even after her death in 2022. She gifted us countless iconic designs and moments from her defining punk days at the King's Road Let it Rock shop and her trailblazing 90s' runaway collections to wearing nothing under her dress when receiving OBE and her tireless pursuit of social and climate justice.
Beginning with her working-class upbringing and traversing the Mclaren years, her contributions to early punk and the New Romantics, her most iconic collections and her activisim, Vivienne's life and works are affectionately described by author Tom Rasmussen and exuberantly illsutrated by Marta Spendaowska. Vivienne Westwood: The Illustrated World of Fashion Visionary is a tribute to a true legend.
